Parking is available around the village, Blarney GAA grounds and in the Castle Car Park.

Cars will not be permitted up the Castle Avenue or in the Castle grounds/Mansion House.
Do not park in areas where traffic cones are laid out.
Also could cyclists adhere to parking laws and not block any right of ways, house or business entrances on the day of the event.

10Km Family Fun Cycle

The Donal Crowley Family Fun Cycle is free. We will be doing this along the Blarney walk along to Sunset Ridge and back. Sean Kelly will be there on Sunday (around 10.00am) …. all are welcome to join in. Sean will then join the main event leaving @11am.

There is a change to this years 100km route, with the cycle going along with the 40km for some 15km, with the pace controlled to allow those taking part in the 40km to enjoy cycling in a large group. The 100km will also be controlled throughout the course so the group stays together for a more enjoyable day out.

Travel arrangements for Tenerife trip 2013

Here are the flight details for anyone looking to travel on the Tenerife trip. Everyone is responsible for organising their own flights and once people have booked their flights and we have confirmed numbers we will arrange accommodation as a group.

Bikes:
Bike hire is available for around €25-35 per day depending on spec. That will get carbon fibre bike with Ultegra or better as a minimum. See website below for an example of what’s available:

For people wishing to bring their own bike it costs €90 to bring a bike on the plane for the return trip. For the Aer Lingus flight you need to call the airline after the flight has been reserved to add the bike to your booking. For the Ryanair flight you need to select sports equipment during the online booking process.

Bike box required obviously which you may need to beg, borrow or steal. Planet X Ireland will rent you a top of the range bike box for €75 for the week. The Edge sports also rent bike boxes.

Accommodation / Airport transfers:
Accommodation and airport transfers will be organised once numbers have been finalised.

If you have current membership with Cycling Ireland ,or if you have had membership in the past, . You can login via Cycling Ireland
website and register for the coming season. If you have forgotten your login details you can reset them via the website or you can email info@cyclingireland.ie for login issues assistance.

Can all MEMBERS who use this process email the club secretary info@blarneycyclingclub.ie to confirm registration.

For new members a registration night will take place in the not to distance future.

New Social Cycling Group Starting Sun Nov 4th

Blarney cycling club new social cycling group….open to non racing cyclists who just want to learn to cycle safely in a group, meet new friends, prepare for sportive’s, improve general fitness
….and discover good places for coffee and cake on a Sunday morning!!! First cycle from the gully in Blarney 9.00 Sunday 4th Nov. Ideally suited to road bikes. Helmets, spare tubes, pump are compulsory….a few euro for coffee is optional but recommended…spread the word…open to guys and girls….no one will be left behind. First spin will be 1-2hrs depending on the people who turn up. Contact Eugene (087 1403464) for any further details….spread the word everyone…see ye all in Blarney.
