For you that dont know this man, i would like to introduce to you the late Donal Crowley, who was an extreme talent on the bike. From winning the Rás stages, to the Blarney 3 Days and to winning his 55min timetrail in the Munster Championships in 1982. But for all these talents the greatest talent of all was training new and up and coming young cyclists from his sons Alan & Peter to the International Junior Tour, All Ireland Champion Barry Twohig, to Kieran Twohig, Brendan Cronin, Paul Howell, Roy Madden, Norman & Cormac Shine, Micheal & Don Creedon. These are just a few that Donal brought up in the Blarney Club. He did not only show us how to ride our bikes but most importantly he showed us how to win races. If Donal was around today he would be delighted how the club as gone from strength to strength with all the old faces getting back on the bike. Also he would be honoured to know that his old friend and a person he aspired to is coming to Blarney on the 19th February to take part in his memorial cycle. Sean Kelly is coming to Blarney to take part in Donals event. So start registering folks on our website as we expect it to be the biggest event in Irish Cycling in 2012.
